1 / 2Movement Plano
π Plano, TX
Movement Plano on Talbert Dr features rope climbing, bouldering, yoga, and fitness. Auto-belay routes suit independent beginners. Gear rental is included with membership.
Staff is great, facility is great, and the workouts I get whenever I stop by are even better.
π Family Action Verdict
Solid for families with kids aged 7 and up looking for a drop-in climbing session without advance booking. The bouldering walls offer the smoothest beginner-to-intermediate progression for younger climbers β auto-belay rope routes jump in difficulty more sharply.

βMy friend and I had a great experience at Movement Plano. The assistant gym manager, Ana, was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. Movement is fortunate to have her on their staff team. Highly recommend!β

βItβs nice; however, this gym has a conga line of 20+ children that appear randomly and occupy the whole wall, like a rare event that forces you to leave the map.β

βVery expensive membership, but also a very high quality gym. For auto-belay (the introductory system of ropes that doesnβt require a class), difficulty quickly jumps from beginner to high intermediate (5.7 -> 5.10b), which makes it very hard to make progress. Bouldering is great, though. Service is also good.β
