1 / 2Museum of Illusions - Mall of America
đ South Loop District, MN
Museum of Illusions at Mall of America fills its Level 2 space with hands-on optical illusion installations, Ames rooms, holograms, and perception-bending exhibits. Staff circulate to help guests take photos at each installation.
A lot of fun! You should bring a friend however to enjoy to the fullest :)
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for kids aged 5 and up who engage actively with hands-on exhibits and enjoy the visual puzzle of each illusion. Younger children often need help understanding the mechanics of each installation. Visiting with at least one other person unlocks the full effect of perspective-based exhibits â solo visits miss a significant portion of the content.

âSo much fun! The one guy followed us around to take pictures for us!! Super cool place to go to have fun! Little spendy but worth itâ

âSmaller museum with fun interactive exhibits. Friendly staff helped us take some cool photos. I think it is WAY overpriced for what it is. My husband and I got in free as teachers and it still cost over $80 for our 3 boys. We had fun, but for the price, I don't think we would go back.â

Housed on Level 2 of Mall of America in Bloomington, this outpost of the international Museum of Illusions brand packs dozens of interactive exhibits into a compact and densely programmed space. Ames rooms, vortex tunnels, anti-gravity illusions, and hologram displays give families a full camera roll of memorable images.
