📍 Nashville, TN
Nashville Zoo hosts 20+ daily keeper chats, hands-on animal encounters at Unseen New World, a Chilean Flamingo Parade, Wild Works animal shows, a large playground, and exhibits spanning Africa Field to Komodo Dragons.
Live the zoo and the playground but the bathrooms always give me the ick, they're hot and smell like a bathroom
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 2–12 who thrive on animal interaction and structured programming. The keeper chat schedule rewards early arrivals who can hit multiple sessions in sequence. Toddlers enjoy the playground and farm animals; older kids engage deeply with the encounter sessions. Bring a stroller for under-3s—the grounds are expansive.

“I like to come here and work from my laptop. It is nice to be able to walk around and see the animals get some exercise vs. sitting all day on a computer. Schools should not be allowed to block off restrooms. Not going to hold this against the zoo”
Carrie Markos
“Chaperone's for field school field trips should not have to pay full price for a ticket plus parking. Just like every year, there are only a few if any animals out for you to see. The price of food, snacks, and drinks are absolutely ludicrous! So thankful this is the last field trip there. I don't know why anyone would want to pay for season tickets, its not worth it!”
