1 / 3Nethercutt Museum
📍 Sylmar, CA
World-class collection of 200+ restored American and European automobiles from the 1910s–1930s, plus rare pipe organs, mechanical instruments, and antique furniture. Two buildings, one requiring a guided tour booking. Entry from just a few dollars.
Love vintage cars? Me too! I got lost trying to find the place to drop off old electronics and instead found the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA! What a total surprise! There’s actually two museums, one is by booking tours only. The one I went to was only 5 bucks (military are free!). Such a collection of antique autos and more!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 8 and up who have genuine interest in classic cars or mechanical history. The pipe organ demonstrations add an unexpected and memorable layer beyond the automobile displays. Visitors with mobility limitations should know seating is very scarce throughout both buildings.

“I did not know what to expect but The Nethercutt Collection was absolutely positively gorgeous and well worth visiting. The automobiles were overwhelmingly beautiful and jaw-dropping in their uniqueness. The music section was unbelievably impressive. I can't wait to go again.”

“Very worthwhile museum to visit. $5 entry fee, lots of Carleton see of different manufacturers. There's also a very cool Victorian era train (Engine, coal car and travel car) that is in the back of the museum, that can tour. Expect to take about 2 hours to tour the museum.”

“We took the guided tour of the 4 floor museum that displays antique cars, pipe organs that we enjoyed seeing and hearing, pianos, fine art, and more. We spent the day enjoying the beautiful cars and museum.”
