1 / 3Newark Pool & Ice Rink
đ Newark, NY
Affordable public ice rink with skate rental, staff who help lace skates for proper fit, and swimming available alongside skating. Resident pricing significantly discounts entry. Generally uncrowded compared to commercial rinks.
Second time going with my kids and we really enjoyed ourselves. Staff are very cool and personable especially Coach K and another lovely woman whose name isn't coming to me at the moment. Ice is nice and smooth and rink overall, nicely maintained. The best part, you skate for free unless you're a regular, where in that case you pay 15 bucks per person for a year pass. We are out of towners so I don't know if there is a cost to Newark residents. But we will definitely be returning. Our kids have even made friends last time we were there lol
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any age who want accessible, low-pressure ice skating without the crowds or cost of commercial rinks. The staff assistance with skate lacing makes it especially good for first-time skaters. Resident families get exceptional value. Arrive after the rink opens at â earlier arrival won't gain entry.

âAlways a pleasure to be there. Fun. They help laced your skates to ensure proper comfort while skating if yous need it. You can relax a few hours ice skating and/or swimming. Its my new home for skating and for residents, $5 get you in on all events or trips. $10 for non residents. Come on through.â
