This place is so cute!! A Friend took me for a showing of a Christmas story. The music hall itself is almost 100 years old I believe. It's very small and quaint with beautiful chandeliers hanging and kind of art deco-ish looking. The narrator was also the organist and gave some history of the building and the Oregon. And explained that they show movies there as well as silent movies and concerts as well. He started by playing some organ Christmas music followed by a sing-along with audience participation and finally a short Warner Brothers cartoon with Sylvester and tweety at Christmas time. Then we had intermission followed by the movie a Christmas story. I can't wait to go back!!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want a genuinely different cinema experience β€” part live music performance, part classic film, part community gathering. Children who can engage with classic films and live music will find it memorable and educational. The volunteer staff are deeply knowledgeable about the building's history and happy to share it.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

β€œWhat an absolutely gorgeous piece of history, sitting in the middle of Main Street. We stumbled across this 1921 gem, and decided to catch a Halloween film. Live organ music. A sing along. Cartoon. Movie. Sitting in the center of a historical building- for $12! How can anyone resist an amazing deal? A special shout out to Stirling for giving us a full break down of the history of the building. Your passion for what you do, and your admiration of that building, absolutely shows.”

β€œThis is an absolutely beautiful theater with so much history and charm that's run by volunteers. I had an amazing time seeing Christmas in Connecticut with an organ show and Christmas carols beforehand.”
