It was an amazing experience!! I had so much fun with my family there, so much to see! I thought the aquarium was the best part, I’ve NEVER been to one like this one! There is also quite a big selection of food there when you get hungry. You should definitely go to see all the amazing animals and creatures they have there!!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Outstanding for families with children of all ages including teenagers who can appreciate the scale and variety. Summer visits unlock the full outdoor experience. Winter visits are viable thanks to the extensive indoor exhibits, and outdoor animal areas are largely closed. Bring a bag for layers β€” the jungle and desert habitats run warm.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Summer visits give access to all outdoor exhibits β€” winter closures significantly reduce what you can see
⏰Bring a bag for extra layers β€” the indoor jungle and desert habitats are noticeably warm
🎟️On-site food is available and pricier than outside options β€” consider bringing your own
πŸš—Allow a full day; the zoo is large enough to fill it comfortably

β€œWe have visited this place in the month of October. Preety good weather luckily not so hot and cold. Just perfect. You carry food inside zoo. They have some food options too if you don’t carry anything but little expensive. Omaha Zoo is a really fun place to visit. There are lots of animals, and the areas are big and interesting to walk through. The zoo is clean and easy to get around, and you can learn a lot while having fun. My favourite parts were the big indoor exhibits like the jungle and aquarium. My kiddo loved the gorilla section, it’s so cool and nice. You can walk or take train. Its a good experience. Aquarium was pretty good with shark, big turtles and bunch of different varieties of colourful fish. Overall, it’s a great place for families and anyone who likes animals.”

β€œReally well planned zoo and aquarium. Brought our youngest children who are teenagers and they had a blast. We loved how they had some inventive ways of presenting nocturnal animals. Our favorite was the penguin exhibit. We visited in the winter and so a lot of animals were not outside, but we expected that going in. Still felt like we got our money's worth out of this wonderful place.”

β€œThis zoo is absolutely enormous! Super well thought out and designed to be enjoyable during all times of the year, great way to get out and about with the kids on a cold day. Recommend bringing something to hold all the coats if you have littles, as they'll definitely come off in the dessert and jungle habitats.”
