1 / 3Parade Ice Garden
📍 Calhoun Isles, MN
Parade Ice Garden near Kenwood Park runs three NHL-sized ice rinks - two with bleachers - plus a skate shop, rental equipment, vending machines, and a small café. Free parking on-site. A standard community rink with no frills.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 4 and up who want affordable, no-fuss ice time. The three-rink setup means public sessions are less likely to be displaced by hockey leagues. Spectating parents appreciate the bleacher seating. Not a premium experience - it's a reliable neighborhood rink.

“3 ice rings (2 with bleachers), wending machines, few tables, a small caffee that is only open limited hours, plenty of free parking, skate shop. Facilities are a little dated but no significant issues. Very much like dozens of community ice parks in MN.”
💬 What parents mention
Overview
Parade Ice Garden operates three sheets of ice in Minneapolis, two of which have bleacher seating for spectators. The facility includes a skate shop, shoe sizes from kids up, vending machines, and a small café open on a reduced schedule. Free parking is available. The rinks host public skating sessions, leagues, and ice events. Facilities are functional and community-grade - dated and well-maintained. The building is cold by design; dress in layers for extended visits.
