Lakeside playground in Passaic with two distinct play zones — an enclosed toddler section and a larger area with slides and swings for older kids. Summer sprinklers activate on hot days and a cafe is nearby.
This is an excellent playground for many reasons. For one, there are two areas: a larger section for older kids and an enclosed smaller section for little kids. Many slides, swings and other things to play on. Also, there is a sprinkler fun area turned on on hot days in the summer. There's also plenty of new benches for adults. There have been some new trees planted that will eventually add some shade but as of now there are parts that can get very hot. There used to portable toilets that were gross but as of spring 2019 they have been replaced with a newly constructed public bathroom. As of this review (mid April 2019) they aren't open yet to the public but this will be looked forward to. The same sort of bathroom is also being constructed at the other extreme of 3rd ward veterans Park near the baseball field.

Best for families with children across a range of ages — the separated play zones let toddlers and older kids play at their own level simultaneously. The lake setting and sprinkler area make longer visits worthwhile in summer. Some equipment maintenance has been inconsistent, so expect occasional items out of service.

“It took me a while to go back and now with my beautiful family, the park its still beautiful the lake, the play grounds for the kids, the trees, defenetly a beautiful, relaxing place to spend some and make some memories with the family.”
