📍 Chesterfield, MI
Playhouse Paradise Play Cafe in Chesterfield offers open-plan soft play for young children alongside a café serving lattes, snacks, and specialty drinks. Birthday party private bookings available.
It was the perfect place to take 2 year olds by myself. It was clean and safe for them with delicious coffee for me!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children ages 1–5. The open layout makes it easy for one parent to supervise multiple toddlers. Kids ages 6 and up are likely to outgrow the play challenge quickly. The café setup makes it a genuine hangout for parents, not just a drop-off-and-wait scenario.

“We love coming to Playhouse Paradise! I never have to worry about my kid getting sick because everything is so clean. The owners and employees are all super nice and friendly. It’s awesome to be able to come and get some work done on my computer, get a latte, and let my kiddo play for hours and I know she’s safe and having a blast. We love this place so much we’re acting hosting our daughters birthday party here soon.”

“I can’t not say enough good things about this place! They are so friendly and welcoming. Everything was so clean and I loved the open floor plan so it was easy to keep up with active children. Food and drinks were amazing too! My daughter is already asking to try the blue raspberry lemonade again 😂. We will definitely be back!”

“We hosted my daughter’s birthday party here yesterday and overall we had a great time. We’ve visited once before and my daughter loved it then as well, which is why we decided to spend the money to host a private party. The space itself is wonderful and the concept is great for young kids. The woman who was there yesterday was friendly and welcoming. However, during our two-hour private event, the woman had her young daughter there as well. At first this was completely fine, but as the party went on I witnessed her daughter hitting my daughter repeatedly with a balloon attached to a string and grabbing toys directly out of my daughter’s hands while she was playing. Later, other parents mentioned they had witnessed similar behavior with their own children during the party. At the end of the party we tried to gather all of the daycare kids attending for a group photo. When we asked the woman’s daughter to step out of the photo for a moment, she refused and said “no,” and I had to go find the woman so she could remove her. I want to be clear that I don’t mind the woman’s child being present. However, since we paid for a private event, I did expect the space to feel fully private for the children attending the party. We really do love this place and the concept, and the woman herself was kind and great to us. I just wish that when booking a private event it truly felt exclusive to the party guests, as some of these moments left us with a few negative memories from an otherwise special day.”
