I absolutely love coming to Playroom Cafe in Mount Prospect! It’s always so clean, well organized, and the atmosphere is perfect for kids to play safely while parents relax. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about families having a great experience. The food is also good, and I always end up staying way longer than planned because my kids never want to leave!

Best for families with children under 8, and especially strong for toddlers and preschool-age kids whose parents want to relax with a coffee in the same space. Birthday party planning is a highlight — staff handle coordination and communication thoroughly.

“I was really disappointed with our visit. They do have a separate toddler section, which is a great idea in theory, but no one was monitoring it or keeping the bigger kids out. Our daughter kept getting pushed out of the way by older children trying to play in that space, which made it stressful instead of enjoyable. On top of that, there was random stuff scattered throughout the play area, so it didn’t feel very organized or well-kept. The food was also pretty bad. The grilled cheese was barely even melted, the carrots looked like they had been sitting out for a long time, and the chicken fingers looked honestly pretty sad. For a place meant for families with young kids, I expected a much better experience overall. For the price, I expected a cleaner space, better supervision, and food that was at least edible.”
