Pocket Park And Playground
📍 Barney Circle, DC
Bee and hive-themed playground in Washington DC. Clean and well-maintained, with benches on site. Minimal shade currently — bring sun protection for warm days.
Nice park. Just wondering what Being don't.to. boy's club?
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for toddlers and young children who will love the bee and hive theme. Parents of sun-sensitive kids should arrive early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid heat. A short, easy outing rather than an all-day destination.

“5 stars: Beautiful bee 🐝 themed pocket park with hive playground. Really lovely park! 🥵 Downside: there is very little shade. Needs some sun covers and mature trees. For now it is really hot. The benches don’t have shade so I sat on the ground while the kids played.”

Overview
This small and distinctive pocket park on Capitol Hill features a bee-themed hive playground that stands out from standard equipment. Reviewers describe it as beautiful and lovely, with a clean, quiet atmosphere. The park is a genuine neighborhood gem, and shade is scarce — benches sit in direct sun and mature trees have and to fill in. Bring a canopy chair or plan visits for cooler parts of the day.
