We celebrated my goddaughter’s 5th birthday at Pump It Up and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. She was smiling ear to ear for the entire two hours, which says everything. The staff was incredible, from the young man who greeted us as soon as we walked in to the ladies who made sure everything ran smoothly in the pizza room. Everyone was attentive, kind, and on top of every detail. The kids had an absolute blast and the adults were able to relax and enjoy the celebration. I will definitely be booking another party here for my nieces. Thank you, Pump It Up, for making her birthday so special.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for planned birthday parties with kids ages 4-8 where the excellent staff can manage the experience and timing. The venue excels at organized celebrations but open play can be chaotic with mixed ages. Be prepared for additional costs and potential facility issues like AC problems.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Book birthday parties rather than open play for better staff supervision and safety
⏰Budget extra for add-ons like balloon drop ($100) and expect strict timing with $75 overage fees
🎟️Bring backup items like tablecloths and fans in case facility amenities aren't working
πŸš—Separate big and small kids during open play as staff supervision is minimal

β€œAmazing place for children to exert insane energy while listening to fun loud music and going from inflatable to inflatable. We had our daughter’s 6th birthday here today and while it was awesome, I will note a few things that as someone in a customer service based industry, has to share. Unfortunately the AC was not working at all in the first room we were in. Was really miserable for adults, but more so for toddlers. Things happen, but perhaps some stand up fans should have been put in or on hand as backup should something like this occur. The second room (larger one with balloon drop) was perfect. Luckily it was so refreshing after the first room. Then the food room had zero AC- also a huge uncomfortable issue for kids and parents. In any event, I am glad that I cut each room down by 10 minutes so that the time in the food room wasn’t rushed, As kids eat slower and roam around etc, parents wanted photos. Videos, time to get gift bags and treats, etc. I also want happy that the food room was barely ready 10 minutes before I wanted us to go in, as I went in myself and started rushing to set up and lay out the goodie bag table the way I wanted, along with custom desserts I ordered. I made my own goodies bags and had pump it up put their water bottles filled with candies inside my goodie bags. Also, I was told that table cloths would be provided for the kids table, but that wasn’t the case. Not a big deal as I brought 3 of my own as well and it looked way nicer with the pink plates I asked for. Overall, the staff tried hard in the food room to engage the kids a few times, but better organization is needed forsure, as well as a plan in the event the AC goes out. Food we ordered was excellent and the ice cream cake was delicious as well. Super fun place- will definitely be back, but please have better organization and understanding of time, so parents aren’t scrambling as much. Thank you!”

β€œWe hosted our daughters’ birthday party at Pump It Up Roselle yesterday with 24 kids, and overall we had a wonderful experience! The service from the team was excellent. The hosts in the bouncy rooms were patient, sweet, and truly great with the children. The balloon drop was a huge hit and added so much fun to the celebration. I do want to share a few pieces of feedback. The party does feel a bit rushed, and many add‑ons come with an extra cost. For example, the balloon drop was $100 β€” it was great, but shortly after the kids enjoyed it, the staff began collecting the balloons to put them away. We were also told that if we stayed even a little longer past our allotted time, there would be a $75 charge. During the food portion, one child accidentally dropped a soda pitcher. Since there were only two team members in the room managing all the kids, the spill couldn’t be cleaned and dried quickly. A few kids slipped on the wet floor, which took some time away from the party, and by the end of the 40 minutes we were rushing to leave because the next party was coming in. With all that said, the team members assisting us were exceptional. After the party, they packaged all the leftover food and even helped load the gifts into our car. Their kindness and efficiency made us feel like guests at our own party, which is priceless. Despite the small challenges, I would absolutely host another party here and recommend Pump It Up Roselle to other parents. The staff truly made the experience special.”

β€œIt's ok. Most of the staff didn't act like they wanted to be there, while others were helpful. The kids had a great time. If that's all you need, this is a good place for that. On the other hand, they were completely unprepared for a power outage. When the power went out, the emergency lights didn't work, and if we didn't use our own cellphone lights, we would have been in total darkness. The staff did not have flashlights they could use, and our party had to be cut short since it was pitch black inside without our own cellphones, and all the rides are air powered. Don't get me wrong, there were no fatalities, but I would insist that at least the emergency lights should have been kept up to date, to guarantee a safe exit for all, children and adults. Nothing held against the staff. This was a management problem. Get with it.”
