1 / 3Racine Zoo
📍 Racine, WI
Racine Zoo sits on the Lake Michigan shoreline with a varied collection of endangered and exotic animals. Flat, easy walking paths suit young children and seniors. Smaller and less crowded than Milwaukee Zoo.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers through early elementary-age kids. The manageable size means you can see the whole zoo without fatigue, and the lakeside setting adds scenery beyond the exhibits. Less overwhelming than a major metro zoo, making it a strong choice for first-time zoo visits with very young children.

“Adorable zoo! Smaller than the one in Milwaukee, but less expensive & not so many people. It was nice to walk around. Right on lake Michigan. Nice variety of animals. Lots of place for kids to play.”
