1 / 3Ralph Foy Park
π Burbank, CA
Compact Burbank park with tall climbing structures, three twisting slides, rope webs, and a smaller toddler play zone. Sand surface throughout. Roller hockey rink and softball field on-site.
Great play structure, clean and very different from other parks. You go up very high and there are three different twisting slides you can ride down with your kids. Play area has sand π³, so many parks have wood chips itβs nice to have a change. Not a lot of swings, two for older kids and one tandem swing for the little ones. All three swings are pretty low to the ground, my 3yr olds feet touched the ground on the tandem swing. During the day not that busy although one day we were there a bus load of school kids showed up for lunch, havenβt had that happen before at other parks.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3 and up who want a genuinely adventurous playground rather than a standard one. The tall slides and rope structures are a step above most LA-area parks. The toddler zone is small β this park shines for kids who are ready to climb high.

βSeriously one of the best parks in the valley, the little kids section got destroyed by a falling tree though so just the big kids section is available for now so be aware of that before planning your trip here. The type of people who come here are nice too, you rarely see ghetto, uneducated, or rude families here. We had only ONE bad experience with a little boy that was cursing up a storm and the mom did not care even though everyone looked unhappy about their kids listening to that including me, but all other times have been great!β

βAwesome compact park in Burbank Neighborhood...... Decent amount of parking place...... nice area to have family outing..... Plenty of green are for kids to play..... Benches are available..... didn't see BBQ grill..... Decent clean public restrooms than other parks in Burbank.... This park has the biggest closed slides in entire area but it's not for younger kids I guess but they have small slides as well for younger kids....β

βThis park is rad. There's sand π... But it's a fantastic playground. When my oldest was three he braved the big slides and it's now probably his favorite park in the valley. He's always asking if we can go to Ralph Foy. Really great climbing things: ropes, and webs, and cool bridges way up high, and HUGE slides. There's a smaller toddler playground, but it's still a good size. I see bigger kids on it often. Also, bathrooms!!!β

Overview
Ralph Foy Park is known across the San Fernando Valley for its tall climbing structures β rope webs, suspension bridges, and three distinct twisting slides that reach well above standard playground height. The surface is sand rather than rubber chips, so dress kids accordingly. A smaller separate area serves younger children. The park also has a roller hockey rink, softball field, and clean public restrooms. Benches are available; shade is minimal.
