I take lessons a few times a week after a long break in riding. Pushes you a little more each week, not trying to put too much into your head at once but always giving you something to work on. I appreciate that riders are expected to tack and untack (with appropriate supervision). You bond with your horse more and it's important to know! Been so happy since i started riding here.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children ready for genuine riding instruction rather than a led trail experience. Students learn to handle horses independently from the first lesson, building competence over weeks of structured progression. Instructor Dave is specifically recommended for beginners.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Request instructor Dave by name for beginner lessons — he is praised for clear safety instruction
Discounts are available for multiple lessons per week — ask about current rates
🎟️Expect to tack and untack your horse as part of every lesson from day one
🚗Beginners are welcomed and started at the rail before progressing to trots and canters

This was my first riding lesson. I’ve done trail work before. I had Dave as an instructor and he was great showed me from beginning to end on everything about the horse. Care treatment and then had in the arena me stick to the rail. Some trots and I did a canter. Sylvia was a wonderful horse choice! I can’t wait to come back. It’s important to know how to ride and control.

Beautiful facility, very well trained and mellow horses, Dave is an experienced instructor and emphasizes safety, great with kids and very flexible. Cuts you a little break if you ride multiple times a week
