Regal Cinema in Gilbert is a great place to catch a movie. The theater itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and overall the service was solid. I had a great time seeing Iron Lung—Markiplier’s new movie—and the experience really made the outing enjoyable. The only downside was that some of the employees could have been a bit friendlier and had a better attitude. A little more warmth would really elevate the experience. Overall though, I still had a great time and would definitely come back.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best suited for families who don't mind premium pricing and can overlook service inconsistencies for a generally clean movie experience. Expect to pay significantly for snacks and drinks, and prepare kids for lengthy previews before shows start. Avoid theater 7 due to reported odor and visibility issues.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Budget extra for expensive concessions - $8+ for small drinks
Arrive prepared for 45+ minutes of ads and previews before movies start
🎟️Avoid theater room 7 due to railing obstruction and odor complaints
🚗Call ahead for promotional items as availability may not match advertised dates

The railing is right in front of the screen. They need to raise the seats up so the railing is lower than the screen. Also, the carpet along the stairs, and some areas along the back row, smell strongly of cat urine. This was in room 7. We definitely will avoid this theater.

We bought tickets for the 11:15am show and then we have sit and watch ads and previews for 45mins. Our kids where getting antsy and was ready to get up and leave. When we spend 60$ and have to sit and watch ads. I watch enough adds online.

False advertising. Tron bucket. It’s says “only in theaters 10/10”. We pre booked. They sold out yesterday? Why on the ad does it say Only 10/10? You sold out 10/9? That math does not math. That’s not even girl math. “Sorry we pre released Thursday”. No. It says 10/10. “You should call ahead next time” we pre booked through your site with the promise of 10/10. We came here because of this ad and the manager heard us (walking behind the kid trying to help us) and just kept walking. And as a manager you would have heard my husband getting a little louder and come over at least shook his hand an apologized? Not a thing. No even a glance. Head down. You have minimal staffing of teenagers who are unpaid and don’t care. The one kid that did “try” to help just said sorry. Over and over. I could just walk in and watch a movie, no scanner and I don’t think anyone would care. Basic food. No alcohol or even Dr Pepper. Also wash down the bird poop outside and clean better inside. It’s filthy. Have a greeter? I even asked my husband “did we come in the right door?” Because no one cared. I got “hey good evening” and he kept walking. You have blood on toilet seats with the bathroom doors propped open. That’s implies cleaning in process. No cleaner.
