1 / 3Respawn Tactical Laser Tag
📍 Houghton, MI
Respawn Tactical Laser Tag in Houghton's Copper Country Mall runs competitive team missions — capture the flag, bomb defusal, king of the hill — with a minimum player age of 8. Sessions must be reserved; staff joins short-staffed teams.
This place was easily some of the most fun I had while at Tech. I enjoyed testing all the new game modes, stealing flags, defusing bombs, and keeping people off my hill. 10/10 would shoot small children again
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 8 and up who want more strategy than standard laser tag. Teen groups and mixed adult-kid parties thrive here. Venue is highly attended when Michigan Tech is in session — walk-in availability is significantly better during university breaks.

“10/10 highly recommend!! Sssoo much fun!! We were lucky enough to get into the tactical laser tag in the late evening. Tech happened to be on winter break, the guy said if they weren't on break, we wouldn't have made the list because tactical laser tag is highly attended.. my teen boys had a blast playing with an experienced group. The guy running it was super friendly and helpful. He explained everything in detail to make sure no one got hurt. We live 5 hours away from Houghton and my boys are constantly begging me to drive back just so they can play laser tag again..”

Overview
Respawn elevates standard laser tag with tactical game modes: capture the flag, bomb defusal, and hill-control objectives across a purpose-built arena. Players must be at least 8 years old; those 17 and under need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. Sessions run Thursday through Sunday with the last session starting roughly one hour before closing. Staff actively joins games when teams are uneven, and coaches newer or younger players on gear and tactics.
