1 / 2Sagamore Road Playground
π Bronxville, NY
A well-designed neighborhood playground offering equipment for all ages with excellent safety features, dual entrances, and plenty of shade. Perfect for families with children ranging from toddlers to tweens.
This park is literally chefβs kiss! There are two entrances, which I love because it gives some extra peace of mind knowing your child wonβt easily wander off. They did remove the sandbox, which was a bit of a bummer, but honestly, there's still so much to enjoy that we didnβt miss it too much. Thereβs plenty of shade, though the benches are somewhat limited β but so far, it hasnβt been a problem whenever weβve visited. The park has three slides of different sizes, an area just for smaller children, a section for kids who love to climb, and the swings are tucked away nicely in the back. Every area has its own space and flow, and thereβs truly something for every child to enjoy. What I especially loved was how secluded the whole park felt β like a little hidden wonderland. Itβs the perfect spot to let kids explore, play, and just be kids.
π Family Action Verdict
This is an excellent neighborhood playground for families with children of varying ages (2-12), offering a safe, shaded environment with something for everyone. It's particularly great for parents who value security and quieter play experiences. Best visited on dry days, and ideal for families living nearby due to narrow neighborhood roads.

βThe cutest playground ever! I love their book tree. The options are endless and this is a perfect way to spend an afternoon with kids under plenty of shade. The park is very safe with two doors that need adult manipulation to be opened. The parking here is really good and you donβt have to pay.β

βThis is a great, small neighborhood playground. There is equipment for all ages within sight of each other which is nice if you have kids ranging from 2-12 - they can all play here! There's some seating, and one bench is in the shade but you'll definitely want sunscreen. There's some nice scooter paths as well which was a nice addition. The playground had 1-2 families there while we were there; we like our playgrounds a little busier, but it was ok for a quick place to run around for 45 minutes. I found getting there to be tricky as the roads in the neighborhood are all very narrow. There was parking close by which was good. Definitely a lovely spot if you live in the neighborhood!β

βMy daughter always has a blast here. The playground has something for younger children of all ages to enjoy. There is also a good amount of benches around the park. You'll never find garbage thrown around but you will find sand EVERYWHERE! I'd avoid going after heavy rain as there are some parts of the playground that could become plain mud. Overall, it's a great place to take your kids.β
