βSeaWorld website says the platinum membership comes with 8 free guest passes. So I got the platinum membership. But they only gave me 2 guest passesβ¦ Guest services said itβs in the fine printβ. Also, several exhibits were closed (sharks, dolphins, and arctic birds)π©. But they donβt tell you that when youβre buying your passes. Overall, still a fun experience. Buy your tickets online ahead of time. Platinum pass was $230 online, but if you buy at the park itβs $375.β

Overview
SeaWorld San Diego sits on Mission Bay and operates as a hybrid aquarium, zoo, and theme park. Highlights include the orca show (consistently called emotionally impactful by visitors), a revamped Sea Lions Tonite comedy show, and the incoming Shark Encounter exhibit opening May 2026 featuring sand tiger sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and endangered Australian leopard sharks. Thrill rides complement the animal programming.
