“One of the entrance/exit gates IS NOT SECURE RIGHT NOW. So if you have a child that tends to elope away (like mine just did) and you're looking for a secure playground to be able to relax in, this ain't it currently. Bummer 😕”

Overview
Located within Shawnee Mission Park at 7900 Renner Rd, this inclusive playground is purpose-built for children of all abilities and managed by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District, a National Gold Medal Award winner. The playground's fencing and gate system is a key feature for families with children who tend to wander - a recent review flagged one entrance gate as unsecured, so confirming the current condition before visiting with elopement-risk children is advisable.
