1 / 2Six Flags Magic Mountain
đ Valencia, CA
260-acre outdoor theme park with an extensive coaster lineup including some of the world's tallest rides, plus Hurricane Harbor water park with slides, wave pools, and a lazy river on an adjacent 22 acres.
Overall I had a really great time. In my opinion there is a definite flow through the park. Upon entry continue forward make a right towards the Six Flags Magic Mountain sign/waterfall. Continue that direction past Full Throttle. That will put you on a counterclockwise Loop around the park. Gradually ascending the entire time and then a nice downhill to finish going past Viper & X2. I highly recommend getting the premium Dining Plan for the day it's about 45 bucks meals refresh every 90 minutes drinks every 15 minutes. It is a money saver for sure pays for itself in two meals and one drink. Portions are typically generous. I recommend the chicken club sandwich. Do yourself a favor and download the Six Flags app before entering that way you have quick access to ride times and other amenities. If you're there from open to close on a Saturday look forward to 6 1/2 miles of walking. That's what I got stay safe travel well enjoy your time at the park I know I did, beautiful scenery lots to do lots to take in. If you enjoyed this review please don't hesitate to throw a like or follow thank you.đ
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with thrill-seeking tweens and teens who want world-class coasters. Younger children have Looney Tunes Land and beginner rides, and the park is coaster-dominant. Arrive early for the biggest rides, download the app for wait times, and pack a refillable water bottle â free refill stations are located throughout.

âWow. What an amazing park. Immediately upon walking in, you can tell this is the flagship legacy Six Flags park. The landscaping, attention to detail, decorations, etc are top notch and make the park feel so immersive and welcoming. The coaster selection is S-tier - there's every kind of coaster you can imagine, and it has some incredibly unique ones. - X2 is a bucket-list coaster for every enthusiast and is absolutely MENTAL - Viper is the last of the Arrow mega-loopers - Tatsu is one of the best B&M fliers, with an insane pretzel loop - Twisted Colossus is an airtime machine and when it duels is a top 10 RMC The staff here is amazing - the ride ops are fantastic, and everyone is so friendly. I've been waiting over almost 20 years to come here and it did NOT disappoint!â

âI visited Six Flags as a solo traveler and had a great time. The roller coasters are amazing and definitely thrilling. When I was there, lines for rides were not too bad, but I also intentionally rode some of the "big" rides first thing in the morning before crowds were growing. My favorite ride was definitely Viper! However, the park is a bit difficult to navigate. Signage is not very helpful, and the app with navigation is hard to operate and the navigation feature is not very helpful (but the wait time feature in the app is great!). I loved the availability of water bottle refill stations, but as a vegetarian, I didn't feel able to find much for meals or healthy-ish snacks available in the park. This was a bit disappointing. Overall, would definitely return. The staff was kind, parking was pretty easy, and the rides made for a really fun day! My suggestions when you visit: bring your own refillable water bottle, plan to walk a bit from parking lot to park, download the app before visiting, and if you wear glasses-purchase the strap devices before going that secure glasses (the rides will otherwise jostle them on your face!) Great park, reasonable ticket price, fun day!â

âWalk through a winter wonderland while enjoying hot chocolate and a delicious s'mores (or perhaps a churro). Nostalgic and thrilling fun for all ages. Exciting rides such as West Coast Customs, Goliath, Tatsu, and X2 (NOT for beginners). Traditional rides such as a carousel, tram, beginner coasters, and an entire kids area (without a kid, an adult cannot be in the kids area). Attractions such as meetups with Warner Bro characters and concerts daily, throughout the park. Delicious food such as Max's Mac and Johnny Rockets (expensive, good portions and quality). The park staff are very safety oriented and personable people, they are all hard working and kind. The price is an unfortunate fact that cannot be overcome. Too many rides are closed for too high of an admittance price, with too many PAID attractions and rides inside the park. Want a picture of the kids and Santa? Be ready to pay up, because it is not included in any picture packs. Impulse-buying is expensive, look at the price of everything first, better deals can be had at other shops. The carnival games are all more overpriced than a comparable local fair. All prices online went up as of a week ago, this is pure greed.â
