Great for kids!!
π Family Action Verdict
Strong pick for mixed-age groups: the 10-year-old skates laps on the main floor as parents sit comfortably with a 3-year-old in the seating area. Kids' skating games during sessions give younger skaters structure and a reason to participate beyond free-skate.

βThe kids had a ball. Was there celebrating a 14th bday. If the owners fill those big holes in the parking lot I would have gave 5 starsβ

βWe visited Skate Zone the day after Easter, and even though it was a very busy day, my kids had a blast. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the crowd, there was still plenty of space to sit and relax with my 3-year-old while my 10-year-old skated around. Itβs a great environment for families with kids of different ages, and we managed to have a stress-free time despite how packed it was.β

βWent once and will try again. From the first time visit i think this is a nice place to skate in, all the staff were nice, the place is clean and in good shape, the bathrooms were not horrible. DJ was fine and they did some skating games for kids, it was fun. But the changing area by the rental is too small. The rental is good, they have hockey boot inlines, roller skates, and kiddie trainer roller skates. The lockers are extra $$, not just deposit :( but at least they take cards. The skate mate balancing helper is extra $, but not too expensive. The place smells like fried food and after a while it's nauseating. Only unhealthy drink/food options are available in the cafe. It can get really crowded, don't even wanna imagine the full capacity of 700 people. Ok option if you just wanna skate inside for a bit, kids definitely have fun. Worth a try, we'll def try again. If the lockers were deposit only and they had some not unhealthy options for snack, this could be 4-5 stars, can't do much for the size of changing area, it works when not crowded.β

Overview
Skate Zone handles busy days well β reviewers note enough open seating for parents with toddlers even during peak Easter-weekend crowds. The DJ runs skating games specifically for kids during sessions. The facility is clean with functional bathrooms, and staff are consistently described as friendly. A video arcade adds options beyond the rink floor. Two Maryland locations operate under the same brand; this listing covers Crofton.
