1 / 2Sligo Creek Stream Valley Park
📍 Takoma Park, MD
Sligo Creek Stream Valley Park features two zip lines, a large climbing tower with two tall tube slides, a smaller toddler structure, four swings including baby and toddler options, and direct access to Sligo Creek for nature exploration.
Muy divertido Buen ambiente para compartir con los niños, lo malo de este sitio es que no hay baños 🚻 públicos es necesario que pongan 2 de ambos sexo 😉
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for kids ages 2–10 who want varied, energetic play in one compact space. The zip lines are the standout draw for ages 5 and up. Toddlers have their own scaled structure and a baby swing. The creek adds a spontaneous nature element that extends the visit naturally. Pack a change of clothes if creek wading is likely.

“Awesome playground with two zip lines, two playgrounds (with one small slide and two big slides), and swings. Right next to Sligo Creek, so great for exploring. Fun for all ages (including parents!)”

“Amazing playground. It's not huge, but the equipment is great - big climbing tower with two tall tube slides, a smaller climbing structure for small little day with small slides, 4 swings (two regular, 1 toddler, one 1 baby), and two great zip lines (1 rope, 1 chair). Lots of mulch ground cover. Various drums and integrated games. The surrounding park is beautiful. On the weekends, the adjacent road is closed to vehicles so it's peaceful and quiet. As others have noted, parking can be a challenge to find immediately at the park, but had no trouble finding street parking a short walk away. This is definitely a top playground in the area.”

Overview
This Takoma Park playground punches above its size. The centerpiece is a large climbing tower with two tall tube slides, complemented by a smaller structure with its own slides for younger children. Two zip lines — one rope-style, one chair — draw repeat visits from kids who work up the courage to try both. Four swings cover a range of ages: two standard, one toddler, one baby. Mulch ground cover surrounds all equipment.
