1 / 2Sun Valley Playground
📍 South San Antonio, TX
Sun Valley Playground is a neighborhood park in San Antonio adjacent to the local library. It features a play structure and open green space. No perimeter fencing separates the playground from Medina Base Road or a rear creek embankment.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with school-age children who can be trusted to stay within sight of caregivers. The absence of fencing on both the road-facing and creek-facing sides means toddlers and young runners require hands-on supervision at all times. Pairs naturally with a library visit next door.

Overview
Sun Valley Playground serves the Sun Valley neighborhood with a casual play area alongside the local library branch. The park has a relaxed, community feel with open green space for free play. Reviewers flag that the playground lacks perimeter fencing - Medina Base Road runs close to the front, and a steep creek embankment drops off at the rear. These features demand active supervision. The park otherwise draws praise as a clean, pleasant neighborhood stop.
