This review is for the Eatery at Tapins, which will be abbreviated as EAT, just for the purpose of this review. I went in with the intention of watching the NFL Draft and eating good food. I expected it to be nearly impossible to find parking since this is the type of place to have a draft party during draft night. It wasn’t as busy as I’d expected and I found parking. I got a great view of the draft action from outside. The staff was amazing, and Jasmine in particular was just so lovely to talk to. I got greeted by Rumi, who was incredibly helpful and infectiously enthusiastic, and admitted me into the eatery. The staff, overall, was just so amazing; every single person I’d come in contact with made the experience just so warm. I had a turkey club with kickin’ ranch and crinkle-cut chips, which I waited no longer than fifteen minutes for. It tasted fresh; it *felt* fresh. Crinkles were seasoned with sea salt. I would’ve loved for them to have glass Mexican Coke bottles, but the soft drinks served in glass cups made up for it. Plenty of tables inside and out to watch live events. TVs are posted everywhere with different channels (I even saw a bit of the Dodgers game I’d missed earlier). Overall, my experience was simply amazing. I didn’t expect to be greeted so warmly (especially as an L.A. Raiders fan on an NFL night in this part of the country) and perhaps one of the highlights of that was a kind comment from Jasmine which really stood out me, and that is ‘we won’t judge you for eating out alone’. That part, I believe, was what made my night, because that made me feel seen, heard, and included. It can’t be stated enough how much that meant to me to hear because typically it is perceived as ‘abnormal’ for men to go out alone, and the people here made sure I enjoyed every minute of it. With that in mind, I highly recommend EAT. Service is highly hospitable and inclusive, & the food is always fresh. Lots of TVs inside and out to get cozy and watch sports. Very different from what I’ve grown accustomed to at Johnny’s or at The Peanut. I hope to try the “other” side of Tapins (which is the Mini Golf one) sometime in the future.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Works well for families with children aged 5 and up who can handle a venue that blends restaurant dining with active play. The scratch kitchen menu goes well beyond typical entertainment-venue food, making it a genuine meal destination. Party rooms are bookable for birthdays.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Walk-ins are welcome for both dining and mini golf — no advance reservation needed for casual family visits.
The ice cream shack operates seasonally; confirm availability before building it into younger kids' expectations.
🎟️Book a private event room in advance for birthday parties — the space fills quickly for weekend celebrations.
🚗The Puttview Lounge offers a tech-enhanced putting experience best suited to older kids and adults.

We had the best time celebrating with our work family here. David was the absolute best server- my drink was never empty and he was extremely helpful with capturing moments on our cameras! Food, atmosphere, and drinks were superb!

I love the Hot Honey Crispy Chicken sandwich, the cast iron nachos, the loaded fries but sub sweet potato fries, the crispy shrimp tacos sub corn tortillas, mozzarella bites, meatball appetizer, and the Atlantic salmon bowl, and the butter cake. The ice cream shack has amazing ice cream by Summer Salt. My suggestion is revamping the breakfast menu as it lacks versus the great lunch/dinner menu. The miniature golf is fun when on a weekday as its less busy. A highlight is 3 hours before close (any night) is reduced pricing of golf...win win!
