📍 Sandy Spring, MD
Treetop zipline and ropes course park in Sandy Spring, MD — the largest aerial forest park in the US. Multiple difficulty levels suit ages 6 through adult. Children aged 6 must climb with an adult at a 1:1 ratio. Max weight 265 lbs.
Such a fun spot, exciting, super clean, and just really well run. Great energy all around and an easy place to enjoy a few hours outside.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for active families with children aged 7 and up who want a genuine outdoor challenge in a forested setting. Six-year-olds can participate with a dedicated adult companion on the easier courses. The multi-level difficulty structure means older kids and adults can push into harder routes independently.

“Loved it so much I purchased the season package!”

“We had such a great time! We visited with a school group. I was pleased at the flexibility with a group rate, the attention to safety, and the various levels of the course. The setting was beautiful for those of us who wanted to visit instead of adventure. Looking forward to reopening in the autumn!”

“My 6-year old and I went on a last minute visit on an unseasonably warm spring day. it was so lovely zipping our way through the forest waking up with young green leaves. We felt safe with the clever lock-unlock carabiner system, although if you have 6-8 year olds, some of the runs have cables which hard to reach on their own even with the stepping blocks, so an accompanying adult is a must. My only disappointment was the admission fee, which seems to have climbed up over the past few years.”
