1 / 2The Exotic Resort Zoo
📍 Johnson City, TX
Family-owned safari park in Johnson City, TX with 700+ animals across 45+ species. Choose between a guided tractor tour with a dedicated guide or a drive-thru where animals approach your vehicle. Animal feeding buckets sold on-site.
I enjoyed the experience. The staff made the day as workable as possible. I I am 76 years old and should not have been doing this because the walks were very long and I was on a walker. But they had ramps to get up on the tour trailer. The entry fee was reasonable and they sold buckets of cattle feed that you could To the animals as they came up to visit you. I kissed a camel. I recommend it for young people. The kitties had a wonderful time. It was spring break.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Excellent for families with kids of any age who want hands-on animal interaction beyond a traditional zoo fence. The guided tour suits younger children who benefit from narrated education. The drive-thru is a hit with older kids and teens who want animals in their faces.
