5 stars for the activity room staff!!! Tracy and Shanai were absolutely amazing- so friendly and warm. You can tell they enjoy working with children and know how to keep them engaged and calm. Will definitely come back thanks to them. Also, shout out to Christian and Karem holding down the fort at Surfside Grille. They were so calm and pleasant despite all the cranky people. They got food orders out as quickly as they were prepared. Definitely a few concerns in other areas of the hotel- no water pressure, room and bathroom weren't clean (popcorn under the couch, we never had popcorn), strands of hair everywhere, not clean behind bathroom door- similarly at the water park, in the pink tube waterside, green algae? mold? grime made it so concerning that my kids went on the slide in there. Staff cooking at surfside grille had very long hair and no hair covering or net. Public restrooms were filthy, men's room had urine all over the floors. Also, only 2 order terminals worked to get food but the receipt tape was empty so it was hard for those who didnt check their order number at the end of their transaction. Otherwise, towel staff were all super friendly and helpful- thank you Ashley for helpingfind the correct size life vest for my little one! Would consider coming back but definitely not for a holiday weekend, they were very unprepared for the prices charged.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

This resort works well for families with kids of all ages seeking a fun waterpark experience with excellent staff service. Visit during weekdays for shorter lines and better value, but prepare for underwhelming food options and potential cleanliness issues. The waterpark itself is the main draw and delivers on fun factor.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Visit weekdays to avoid crowds and long lines for water slides
⏰Bring snacks or plan to eat at the nearby casino for better food options
đŸŽŸī¸Check room cleanliness upon arrival and request cleaning if needed
🚗Consider renting a cabana for sensory breaks from the loud waterpark environment

“Our Girl Scout troop recently stayed at The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark, and it was truly an incredible experience from start to finish. A huge thank you to Jennifer Haberle and Danielle Schwartz for making our trip so special. Jennifer in particular went above and beyond to help our troop throughout our stay. She was there to greet us within minutes of our arrival and had everything set up so we were ready to go immediately, which made coordinating a big group of excited Girl Scouts so easy. She has the sweetest personality and was always a smiling face whenever we saw her around the resort. It meant so much to the girls (and the parents!) to feel so welcomed and supported. The kids had the absolute best time. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious, the waterpark felt very safe and clean, and every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. Attending a trip for a large group like a Girl Scout troop can sometimes be challenging, but the team at The Kartrite made it seamless and fun. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories our girls made there and cannot wait to come back! Highly recommend for families, groups, and anyone looking for a fun and well-run getaway.”

“I was pretty impressed with the water park. We didn't stay onsite so I can't speak to the quality of the rooms. The staff was friendly and attentive. The lifeguards were focused and diligent in scanning the pools. Managers/supervisors were present and visible. There was plenty of seating and the air was comfortable, not too stuffy but not too cold. They had cabanas you could rent if you needed more privacy or a sensory break. It's loud due to all the slides and fountains and music on top of that. They had activities for all ages. A very fun day with the family. Another thing, we had to reschedule our day passes due to snow and ice. They were more than accommodating when this happened.”

“The service when we checked in was great! They had text communication for months before I came answering any questions. I added upgrades to my room, the cookies and cupcakes were amazing. The check in was easy and they were really helpful. If you go during the week there aren't as many lines for the water rides and wait for other things. Few restaurants aren't open during the week so that was frustrating for Thursday Friday but the casino next door has tons of awesome food and it's a 5 minute drive. The water slides were so fun!! The lazy river was probably the best I've ever been on. The room service was great anything I needed they provided. We asked for extra towels, k cups, cups, trash bags and they were quick to provide. There's tons of activities for kids and families every day. Huge screen with movies in the lobby. Our suite had a balcony so the fresh air access was nice. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Bought sweatpants and before the night was done the seam ripped in the crotch so that was disappointing. The breakfast and coffee were decent. TVs in the bedroom are big. Beds were comfy. Service was decent wherever I went. We enjoyed our stay and I would suggest it to anyone especially families. We have gone to Great Wolf before and I honestly enjoyed this more.”
