1 / 2Thinkery
π Mueller, TX
Thinkery is Austin's STEAM-focused children's museum with 40,000 square feet of interactive exhibits spanning water play, physics, engineering challenges, and creative arts.
Perfect place to take your toddler! There are so many areas they can enjoy without being crowded. My daughter loved the water area the most and she wasnβt rushed to move on. We especially loved that there were bathrooms EVERYWHERE. We even enjoyed the ducks at the park across the street. If parking is limited, go around the park where the townhomes are and enjoy the stroll through the park. It was beautiful!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for toddlers through early elementary-age children who engage deeply with hands-on learning. The water play area anchors visits for the youngest kids. Families visiting Austin from out of town should know the museum is compact compared to major-city peers β plan a half-day rather than a full day.

βItβs located around a nice commercial area with a park and lake that people seem to hang out in. The place itself is not too big compared to childrenβs museums in other major cities. Overall its just OKβ
