Union Sports Arena
π Union, NY
Popular ice skating arena offering daily public sessions, family hockey, and learn-to-skate classes. Features good viewing areas for parents and reasonable rates, though bring your own skates.
This place is awesome. They have family hockey every weekend and have very reasonable rates. Canβt wait to go back.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families wanting affordable recreational skating and hockey activities, with excellent viewing areas for parents. Bring your own skates if possible as rentals are worn, and stick to casual skating rather than serious practice sessions due to inconsistent ice quality.

βGood ice skating rink! Skate rentals are pretty worn out though, so if you have your own that would be best.β

βI use to love figure skating here for practice before work on freestyle sessions I donβt like that the ice isnβt cut itβs a safety hazard. I understand that the rink is on a budget and they constantly looking for Zamboni drivers and donβt want to pay or give more hours for the workers to cut ice real early in the morning but skaters donβt want to pay 22 or more for ice that isnβt cut for some one doing foot work, jumps and spins and knee slides itβs a safety hazard I try to avoid public sessions due to me or other skaters getting hurt since there unaware of figure skating patterns and reading them and many rinks are charging at least 24 or more due to inflation but at least the ice is smooth It pains me to give this one star because I love the workers there just not management.β
