1 / 2University Park Wells Run Playground
đ University Park, MD
Wells Run Playground offers two distinct sections: a big-kid zone with spider web, monkey bars, rope ladders, and multiple slides, and a toddler area with a rock wall, plastic reptiles to climb, and smaller slides. Suits ages 18 months and up.
Wells Pkwy WEST takes you to the parking lot for this playground. Non-residents cannot park on Wells Pkwy East, which is a dead end.
đ Family Action Verdict
Excellent for families with children ages 18 months through 10 years. The distinct age zones mean toddlers and school-age kids can both be challenged appropriately in the same visit. Non-residents must use Wells Pkwy West for parking â the eastern street is resident-only.

âGreat playground. Large assortment of activities for kids of all ages. Big kid section has several good climbing options, spider web, monkey bars, rope ladders, 2 slides and a tube slide. Small kid section has 2 slides, small tube slide, rock wall, and big plastic reptiles to climb on. 4 regular swings, 2 toddler swings, and a tire swing. Rotating chairs and a play house. Everything is in great condition. Ground cover is thick wood mulch. Attached parking lot, picnic tables, and plenty of shade. Playground is adjacent to a soccer field and a small pavilion. A+.â

âGreat play structures for 18 months+ in a big beautiful park. Wish the whole playground was fenced in. Everything is on the newer side.â
