1 / 2Urban Putt San Jose
π Downtown San Jose, CA
Urban Putt San Jose features 18 custom-designed indoor holes with themes ranging from a crashed UFO to a golf-ball-eating shark. Kids 12 and under play at a reduced rate; children 4 and under play free. All ages welcome before .
Went to Urban Putt in downtown SJ and had way more fun than I expected lol. First floor were the bar area and an UFO/space themed mini golf, kinda quirky but in a good way. Tickets were about $20 per person which wayyyy too okay for how entertaining it was. What surprised me the most was actually the bar. Their cocktails are sooo good, and for me, I got a raspberry mojito and kinda obsessed, not even kidding. Didnβt expect drinks to be that solid at a mini golf spot. Itβs a nice place for date night but also feels kid friendly, I saw a bunch of families there too. Upstairs got arcade games and you can just tap Apple Pay, super easy no need to deal with cash or cards. Overall just a really fun vibe, good drinks, good time. I would def go back again.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids aged 5 and up who can handle a putter. Arrive before β the 21-and-over rule kicks in promptly at that hour. The two-floor layout means some walking between holes; manageable for most ages. Toddlers 4 and under play free, making it a low-cost outing for mixed-age groups.

βTwo of us went to check it out as a possible venue for a MBA Grad gathering in June. WHAT A BLAST! I wasn't sure what to expect but had seen some fun reviews on Yelp so we popped down on a Wednesday night. The 'mini golf' holes were so imaginative and no expense spared on the decor, design and fabulous variety of Silicon Valley style 'holes'. I recommend you read the signs along with way with the history if you are so inclined. Had fun chatting with other 'golfers' along the way as it's very interactive. The food was very good (loved the chicken schwarma & smash burger) and full bar with great options on tap and good wines. Highly recommend it as a family outing, date night or even a corporate gathering as there is a large loft area upstairs with more games. Add Bonus - Urban Putt is right across the street from San Antonio Light Rail stop so no parking downtown needed if you prefer VTA.β
