I really liked this place. I grew up in the san Fernando Valley from about 1968-2004. It was cool seeing all this old memorabilia. Brought back some fond memories. Some of the displays block being able to see others. That was kinda a bummer. Looks like it's a never-ending work in progress. One other thing. I went in August. And it was very warm in there. No A/C. So you might want to take that into account when you go. But back to the cool things. They have pinball machines and old video games you can play for free. There are only 7 or so machines, so not gonna be there forever, but. It was cool. It also has a good size selection of Hollywood items and just kinda a pop culture collection as well. Especially coke. McDonald's, bobs big boy, matchbooks, and ashtrays . Really to much to name. The cost was $15. I was there about 1hr40min. But 1 nourish, I think, for most people. It's only open on Saturday and Sunday as well. It was fun. I drove from Las Vegas to Claremont. I made the drive to the valley for this place, and im glad I did

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Families with tweens and teens get the most out of this museum — the nostalgia and local history land best with older kids who have some reference point for the era. The free arcade games are a genuine draw, and the neon sign collection is visually striking for any age. Skip it with children under 6 who won't connect with the content.

The Valley Relics Museum is an absolute gem! Packed with cool artifacts from the San Fernando Valley and beyond, it’s a nostalgic trip through L.A.'s pop culture history. The collection of neon signs is especially impressive, but there’s also a huge variety of other pieces that touch on everything from old restaurants and entertainment to fashion and sports. It's not a huge museum, but there’s so much to look at that you can easily spend a couple hours here. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's well worth the stop!

I’ve always been deeply interested in local valley history, so this place was an incredible experience for me and my mom! It looks small, but there are so many bits of history and memorabilia to look at. I would definitely go here again! The second room also has a few arcade games which were fun as well. By the way, tickets are $15 for adults

This is such an important preservation of the San Fernando Valley and adjoining areas. This amazing history would undoubtedly be lost forever if not for this museum. I highly recommend if you are yearning to replay great memories in your mind and heart. Great job guys!

Overview

Valley Relics Museum packs two rooms with neon signs salvaged from closed Valley businesses, film and TV memorabilia, and artifacts spanning the region's postwar boom years. The second room houses a selection of free-to-play pinball machines and arcade games. The collection is dense and the layout compact — expect to spend 60–90 minutes. No air conditioning means summer visits can get warm inside. Weekend-only operation limits visit windows.
