1 / 2We Rock the Spectrum - Gaithersburg
π Gaithersburg, MD
We Rock the Spectrum Gaithersburg is a sensory-focused indoor playground with a soft zip line, climbing structures, arts and crafts, and a quiet calm-down room. Open play and birthday party packages available.
We had our 3 year old daughterβs birthday party here and had a great experience! Kristina really made the day! She arranged everything with us ahead of time and was an irreplaceable help during set up and greeting guests. She helped keep us on track as far as party timing, and served the pizza and cake to the guests. Everyone in our party complimented us on the location and Kristina. We are so pleased we chose to celebrate our little here and Kristina is awesome!
π Family Action Verdict
Purpose-built for children with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum needs, or developmental differences β and equally welcoming to neurotypical kids. Best for ages 1β8. The quiet room makes it a strong choice for families whose children get overstimulated in typical play environments.

βI write reviews so infrequently but really needed to give We Rock Gaithersburg their due. My son has been a few times, but this past weekend I took him to open play to make up for him having a negative experience at a different indoor play gym that was not conducive to his needs. He loves all the gym equipment, the toys, and all the imaginary play centers and I had a great time with him. I especially appreciated that the owner checked in with me to make sure that I as a parent was also enjoying myself with my son.β

βWe recently celebrated our daughterβs 4th birthday at We Rock the Spectrum in Gaithersburg, and I honestly canβt recommend them enough! It feels so good to support a business that truly cares about tailoring things to children on the spectrum. Itβs such a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone. The best part was that they took care of everything for usβthe decorations, the pizza, all the paper products, you name it. It was such a relief to just be able to show up and actually enjoy the party instead of stressing over the details. All of our guests had a total blast! We also come here all the time for open play, and itβs always a great experience. It never feels too crowded, which makes it such a nice, safe spot for our daughter to just play and be herself. If you're looking for a great local spot that really "gets it," this is definitely the place!β

βWe took our 3 year old son to open play last weekend and all had the best time! They have a great mix of play equipment and toys not found at other local play places, including a soft zip line the kids can sit on that was a huge hit. Three clean spacious bathrooms and a quiet/calm down room were big plusses. The owner Pam was so kind and welcoming, and knew many of the other kids and parents by name. We will definitely be back!β
