Indoor play centres for toddlers in Georgia

Indoor play centres for toddlers in Georgia

Georgia has a spread of indoor play centres around Atlanta and its suburbs, and a few of them set aside space or sessions for the youngest children. This guide covers what each place has, from padded toddler zones and crawling corners to sensory-sensitive rooms, so you can match the venue to your child. Sock rules, waivers and payment methods vary, so the closing section pulls those together.

Kids Empire Plaza Fiesta

Kids Empire Plaza Fiesta is inside Plaza Fiesta Indoor Mall on the edge of Chamblee, close to Brookhaven and about 10 miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta.

The main structure is a multi-level maze with winding slides, jungle gym passages, ball pits and obstacle-style paths, and there is a dance floor. For the youngest children there is a dedicated toddler zone for ages 1-3, a padded space with mini slides, soft construction blocks and a small ball pit.

Snacks and drinks are sold on site, and tickets allow re-entry if you want to leave for a meal and come back the same day. Birthday parties come with a dedicated host, a block of seating, a dance party with the mascot Huggy, and drinks and goodies.

Payment is card only. Every child and adult must wear non-grip socks, which you can bring or buy at the front desk, and waivers are signed online in advance.

The Playroom East Cobb

The Playroom East Cobb in Marietta sits just off Johnson Ferry Road, directly across from the Merchant's Walk shopping centre.

The centre focuses on sensory-sensitive play, with a strict cap on noise and on how many people are inside at once so children do not get overstimulated. There is a two-level gross motor structure for climbing, sliding and swinging, and a giant pillow pit to dive into. A soft Crawling Corner is set aside for younger babies to practise crawling, standing and tummy time.

Birthday parties rent the whole facility privately, so no outside families share the space during your celebration. A monthly Birthday Buddies Bash is a group birthday celebration for children aged 3-10 with disabilities or who are neurodivergent, along with their friends and family. There is also a sensory-sensitive Santa event where families meet Santa in a calm setting without queues or camera flashes.

We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym Atlanta

We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym Atlanta in Roswell is a sensory gym with a zip slider, a climbing rock wall, a trampoline, pretend play stations and a calming room. It is owned and operated by Jig2Fit Kids, a local business.

A drop-off Morning Toddler Play Group for ages 2-5 runs on weekdays. Older children have a Fall Break Camp for ages 3-13 with themed daily activities, and the gym takes field trips and group visits from schools and daycares. A Caregiver Rewards Program is open to nannies, au pairs and sitters who bring children to the gym.

Birthday packages include the gym plus a dedicated party room.

OODAZU

OODAZU in Decatur has a ninja obstacle course, climbing towers and walls, and a ripslide. The Club OODAZU expansion adds indoor sports courts, a cafe and an adult gym space alongside the play area, with sports leagues for children and adults. An in-house boutique sells party supplies, balloons, decor and gifts.

School-holiday camps mix organised activities such as craft time and a yoga class with free play. Outside food is allowed at parties, though substantial items like cakes or pizza carry a flat fee. Grippy socks are required for all children.

There are three separate locations, each with its own hours, so check the Google listing for the one you plan to visit and pre-book playtime to make sure there is space.

Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese in Atlanta has a superhero-themed indoor playground and a cafe. Its material does not say anything about toddler-specific areas, so it may suit families with a mix of ages rather than toddlers alone.

On arrival every child and adult gets a matching UV hand stamp, and staff check the stamps again as groups leave. Personal socks are not accepted in the Adventure Zone; socks are provided as part of admission, and socks from a previous visit can be reused.

Group packages are available on weekdays for schools, daycares, churches, youth sports teams and scouts with 10 or more children. Birthday packages include gameplay, a live show and a Ticket Blaster experience, and a free Birthday Club gives children game play and cotton candy on their birthday each year without a party booking.

Practical points

  • Sock rules differ: Kids Empire wants non-grip socks for everyone, OODAZU wants grippy socks for children, and Chuck E. Cheese does not accept personal socks at all. Check before you leave the house.
  • Kids Empire requires waivers to be signed online before you arrive, and takes card payment only.
  • OODAZU has three locations with different hours, and asks you to pre-book playtime.
  • The Playroom East Cobb and We Rock The Spectrum both offer sensory-sensitive settings, with The Playroom capping noise and numbers and We Rock The Spectrum providing a calming room.
  • For the youngest children, Kids Empire has a padded zone for ages 1-3 and The Playroom has a Crawling Corner for babies.
  • Kids Empire tickets allow re-entry for a meal break during the day.
