1 / 23-D SPACE
đ Echo Park, CA
Private non-profit museum in Echo Park's Alvarado Arts Building dedicated to stereoscopic imaging history from the 1830s to modern VR. Guided tours cover View-Master origins, analog holograms, and 19th-century Diableries.
Eric is a gem! His 3-D Museum is truly one-of-a-kind and contains so many rare items I will literally worry if there is ever a fire in L.A. anywhere near his collection. This private museum is a true love letter to the magic and art of 3-D. Wether you're visiting Los Angeles or you're a long-time Angelino, the 3-D Space Museum is not to be missed. (This museum is a non-profit, so please support your local community and reach out to reserve your tour time!)
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children and teens who have genuine curiosity about visual arts, photography history, or technology. Eric's guided format rewards active listeners, and the collection's depth is significant enough to hold attention throughout. Young children are unlikely to sustain engagement.

âEric is fantastically passionate about 3D images and film. He has countless stories and anecdotes about the history of 3D media, which was far more prolific in the 20th century than we realize. I will be happy to return here, and I recommend this stop for anyone interested in a unique experience only in LA. Check the website to book a tour slot and prepare for the history of 3D you never knew.â
