1 / 3Agnes Haywood Playground
π The Bronx, NY
Recently renovated playground with basketball courts, track, and exercise equipment. Best suited for children 5+ who enjoy sports and physical activities.
After the lark renovation it has a better more put together feel. Also theyβre doing a good job at maintains the cleanliness. The bathrooms donβt look decrepit and itβs not cringe worthy when you walk inside. I saw another review that said the downside is that thereβs no equipment for children under 5, although they do have the baby swings I feel as though this park is better the way it is and that it doesnβt really matter if kids under 5 have limited abilities this is a toddler and up park and if you value your kids safety when it comes to falling on the new concrete then you should keep them at home and bring them when theyβre older or enjoy the baby swings. They also have the swing where you can lock in your child (disability) so that they can also enjoy themselves. There are new courts that now boast bleachers for our convenience. They have a nice array of exercise equipment that I feel are better than the standard ones they usually have in parks. This park also features a track and field for other games as well as a handball court. They have chess tables and nice scenery with seating. The water fountains are upgraded and now features a bottle refill option. Iβve also noticed that the park has been staying open later, I myself donβt find it alarming because for nights owls like me I enjoy walking across the street at night to take a stroll on the track or to swing on the swing.(note the swings feel as though they are made to suit 16 and under due to narrowness and short chain. So if your looking for the nice loose ones where you can swing high into the sky if your older than this is not the one)
π Family Action Verdict
This playground is ideal for families with children 5+ who enjoy sports and physical activities, offering excellent renovated facilities including basketball courts, track, and exercise equipment. While toddlers have baby swings available, the limited age-appropriate equipment makes this better for older kids. The park provides a safe, clean environment but expect crowds during nice weather.

βThe people are nice and you can go to work out, play soccer or basketball ball. Most days the park stays active. I feel safe letting my kids run free and enjoy the park.β

βItβs a very nice park in the neighborhood. I do wish that there was more activities for little children when it comes to this park. They only have one little jungle gym area along with a swing set. Thereβs no slides with the jungle gym. I feel this park is made for older kids and adults who are into sports /being physically active outdoors. This playground is also directly across the street from a school (just to keep in mind). They also have a work out area, hand ball court, track with soccer field and basketball court. Bathrooms are open and accessible, Iβve never took a look / gone in to make a review on how cleanly they keep the bathrooms.β

βIt's fully re-renovated. Have all accessible and fully functional accommodations for all ages recreational and physical activities needed to improve every one's life, who are desirable to improve their health and lifestyles. It's very clean. Very convenient for the community. It's like going to the gym. Most importantly, this will keep the young children off the streets corners and will give them a opportunity to stay active and productive in a positive direction. Thank God for this milestone and I pray that this playground will be safe and use for the right purpose.β
