1 / 2Agnes Moffitt Swimming Pool
π Northwest Houston, TX
A free public swimming pool with lap lanes and toddler-friendly facilities, though families should expect strict rules and potentially poor customer service from staff.
I just wanted everyone to know that the pool now has a separate lap lane that was recently installed for those who wish to swim for exercise uninterrupted. And I would like to give all of the lifeguards a 5 star review for being so nice and attentive to my needs. And they kept the facility clean and the water was always sparkling.
π Family Action Verdict
This free public pool offers clean facilities and dedicated lap lanes, but suffers from poor customer service and unreliable operations. Best suited for budget-conscious families who can tolerate strict rules and potentially rude staff. Call ahead to confirm it's actually open before making the trip.

βPark was ok but the pool and the life guards are ridiculous. The pools smells, it's only open to the public for 5 hours a day, of those 5 hours the guards take away 50mins to have a break, which only 1 of the 6 or 7 of them are actually on duty each time and they are rude. They do a lot of selective whistling as well. They are either on their phones or swimming, except for the ONE on guard, so why do they ALL need a break? They are supposed to break each other. I don't care about the pool being free, I would not recommend this pool to anyone. No noodles or floaties (not even for babies) are allowed.β

βHorrifying...The kiddie pool was basically a diaper infised urinal. Two of the guards were pleasant. The rest were whistle happy.I should have been paid as we were warching our teens who are proficient swimmers, but because they could'nt touch bottom had to cluster with non swimmers...Whats with the breaks? I guess watching about 30 swimmers were too much for 4 lifeguards. Will not be back.Plus someone changed their kid on my clothes.β

βPool seems clean. Lifeguards are rude, petty, and ridiculous. One was even commenting on my childβs sunscreen not being rubbed in enough. They even police the way you use the ladder to enter the pool. The most unpleasant experience Iβve ever had at a pool. The only positive thing is that itβs free. Go somewhere else if you can.β
