Alice Chalmers Playground
📍 Crocker-Amazon, CA
Neighborhood playground at 670 Brunswick St in San Francisco. Features a notably tall climbing structure designed for older children. Not set up for toddlers or very young kids — equipment scale skews toward school age and up.
It's a cool playground 😎
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with school-age kids — roughly 5 and up — who can handle a tall, challenging climbing structure. Families with toddlers alongside older children should be prepared for the youngest ones to gravitate toward equipment that isn't scaled for them. A destination worth making for adventurous climbers in the Outer Mission area.

“This park is very unique with a very tall structure for kids to climb inside of. The park is not set up for very young kids though, so if you have kids of multiple ages, I wouldn't recommend since the toddler age is going to want to climb up on structures that aren't designed for their small size.”

Overview
Alice Chalmers Playground on Brunswick St stands out for its tall, multi-level climbing structure that gives older kids a genuine physical challenge. Reviewers describe it as unique among SF neighborhood playgrounds. The equipment is sized for school-age children and is not suitable for toddlers, who will struggle with structures built for bigger kids. Families with mixed ages should plan how to manage the size gap. The park is compact and straightforward to supervise.
