Hunts Point spot with a weird mix of industrial grit and waterfront. The floating pool is the whole reason to comeβ€”swimming on a barge feels ridiculous but works. Views of Manhattan and Hell Gate from the pier. Playground, basketball, volleyball, fishing. No food around, pack a lunch. Gets windy. Kinda isolated but that's the charm.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for adventurous families who want a genuinely unusual swimming experience and don't need amenities beyond the water. The barge pool is the entire draw and delivers on the novelty. Families who want a polished, well-provisioned park day will find the industrial surroundings and sparse facilities a mismatch.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Pack all food, drinks, and snacks β€” no vendors operate in or near the park
⏰The floating pool sits on a barge β€” arrive early in summer for the shortest queues
🎟️Sprinklers and a playground serve children who aren't ready for the main pool
πŸš—Bring layers for the waterfront β€” wind off the East River picks up significantly

β€œI went a couple times. Once for the pool, and once just to chill. The pool is awesome, not too packed and very clean. The park in general is a good atmosphere. Alot of green space to play sports and barbecue. Very nice water and boardwalk as well.”

β€œNice park in the Bronx, right in the middle of all hunts point factories, so lots of trucks and busy area. I have great memories with my kids at this park, celebrated birthdays and just had amazing moments. The park has swings, basketball court, volley ball area and decent views. Also a couple of picnic tables by the entrance. There's also a pool in the summer and sprinklers. I like this park when I'm in the BX. It can be ratchet at times but what park in the BX isn't lol”

β€œIs a very nice place has bathroom has some benches. Area for fishing. Floating pool. One thing I don't like doesn't have close places to buy food o drink. But it's a good place”
