1 / 2Begg Pool
đ Manhattan Beach, CA
Outdoor municipal pool in Manhattan Beach known for high-quality swim coaches running structured programs including masters swimming. Clean, warm water with changing rooms and pram access. Capacity is intentionally kept low.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with committed young swimmers who want access to genuinely exceptional coaching in a clean, low-crowd environment. The pool is structured around training rather than casual play. Masters swimmers should proactively check for schedule changes rather than relying on email notifications from the aquatics supervisor.

âOh my goodness, what to say about this wonderful place. I can't believe that the city of Manhattan Beach has access to the amazing coaches that work at Begg Pool, it's only a matter of time before Coach Jasper, Coach Romyr, and especially Coach Justin get recruited to coach for the 2028 USA Olympic swim team. I greatly appreciate all the help they and all of the workers have provided for myself as well as everyone on the MB Dolphins swim team, and everyone who swims at Begg Pool. The pool is pretty nice and it is very warm in the mornings even when it's cold out. Hopefully story time carries on in MB Dolphins iykyk. đđâī¸âī¸đđđ¤Ŗđ¤Ŗđ¤đ¤â

âThey have patrons safety in mind with a maximum of 12 people in the pool. 2 people per Lane. One person on each side. Today there were actually only two people in the whole pool at 12 on Sunday. It's great that chlorine would kill everything anyway.â

âStill open during covid with a reservation system online. The pool was clean, perfect in temperature and the staff was very friendly! I will be back next weekâ

Overview
Begg Pool is a well-maintained outdoor facility in Manhattan Beach with consistently warm water and a coaching staff that draws serious attention - reviewers predict coaches Justin, Jasper, and Romyr will be recruited for the 2028 US Olympic team. The pool operates a masters swim program alongside general sessions. Maximum capacity is deliberately restricted, keeping the facility uncrowded. Schedule changes are communicated inconsistently - check directly rather than waiting for notifications.
