Hermosa Beach Community Center
đ Hermosa Beach, CA
Multi-use community facility with swimming pools, dance studios, a small theater, and table tennis. Excellent for structured classes and long-term rentals. Basketball court requires advance reservation rather than drop-in access.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families enrolled in structured programs like dance classes or those organizing group events. The facilities are high-quality and staff are attentive for scheduled use. Families expecting casual drop-in sports access will find the reservation model limiting - the basketball court is not available for spontaneous play.

âVery nice facility, cool history, but requiring people to rent the basketball court in order to use it defeats the purpose of a community center. I see why kids these days are not active outside like they used to. Too many rules and regulations preventing them from having fun so they stick to their phones. I hope we use a community can do better for the youth.â

âWe feel so lucky to have such an amazing staff who help us daily at the hermosa community center. The facility is incredible. They provide a perfect place for our small but growing dance company in their gorgeous dance studios & an amazing quaint theatre that we always look forward to utilizing for our shows. We feel so lucky to have found HBCC!â
