Bellerose Playground

“This is the school that I attended 70 years ago, so I love to visit when I am in the area. The improvements are nice, and the atmosphere welcoming. Wish they had kept the garden.”

“Decent urban type of park/playground for kids of all ages. There are play sets with slides, swings, stone tables with painted chess boards, swing set for little and big kids, running track, three basket ball courts, small baseball field, bathroom for men and women (but closed while I was there after 5pm Tuesday). The grounds are also cushioned in most playing areas except for the ball fields. The area fills about the size of two street blocks, which is small but is what's to be expected in an urban area. There is also a water sprinkler area which wasn't on but it wasn't a hot day. It might be ready soon as summer is around the corner.”

“Nice playground but no sprinklers although it was supposedly added…what a let down. So the sprinklers are finally functional, the dead tree has been hauled away although where it was wasn’t cleaned up leaving another part of the playground unusable. I feel that the cultural makeup of this neighborhood played a big part on the sloth-like progress of this playground renovation. Also, the previous playground had more swings and a bigger playground apparatus which had two slides and more running area.”
