1 / 3Belvedere Aquatic Center
π East Los Angeles, CA
Public aquatic center with four pools ranging from shallow toddler-friendly areas to full lap swimming lanes. Clean facilities with spacious changing rooms, showers, and combination lockers. Water aerobics classes run on-site.
Great public pool with a lot of different activities for youth and adults. Staff is helpful, efficient, and friendly. The water aerobics classes are fun and a good way to work out. The lifeguards are the instructors. Now in late September the pool is very quite. I loved getting in my laps of swimmingπββοΈ.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children across a wide age range β toddlers have safe shallow areas and older swimmers have full lap lanes. The multi-sport complex extends the visit beyond swimming. Always confirm the pool is open and lap swimming is available before arriving; unannounced closures have frustrated repeat visitors.

βBeautiful and clean facility. Attentive staff at front desk and all over pool deck. Over 5 lifeguards on duty. Spacious changing room with showers, soap, curtained changing areas, places to sit, toilets, mirrors, lockers with combination locks. Lane swimming, areas without lanes too.β

βFront desk wonβt answer any calls and then wonβt give you the correct information in person. I had to point out times that were given in person were incorrect compared to the schedule thatβs on paper. Then they claim thereβs swim lessons taking place when the pools were completely empty. Went back for the 2nd time, and I was stopped by a life guard that said βphone calls and phones are not allowed in Pool area because parents will not pay attention to their children and be on their phonesβ Clearly knowing that there were no children in the pool area and I had no child with me or around me. I said βI have no children and right now itβs lap swim.β Then he said that if my phone was stolen then Iβd be responsible, knowing well he had no reason to tell me whether I can be on my phone or not. I donβt know where the entitlement came from but if phones really werenβt allowed in pool area then put up a sign. Besides the ridiculous hours this place and the laziness and entitlement from the employees this is a hidden gem theres 4 pools. First, is for toddlers that is 1.5 ft, the second (over the fence) is 2-2.5ft, third is 3-4ft, and the fourth which is the biggest pool with over 6lanes is 4-14ft. The water and facility looked clean, thereβs showers, lockers, and private area to change. Big facility for friends and family and beautiful park to try out after swimming.β

Overview
Belvedere Aquatic Center operates four distinct pools including shallow wading areas for young children and deep lap-swimming lanes. The facility features spacious changing rooms with showers, soap, curtained areas, and combination-lock lockers. Water aerobics classes are available with lifeguards as instructors. Beyond the pools, the site includes basketball courts, playground equipment, and open fields. Communication about closures and schedule changes has been inconsistent.
