1 / 2Belvedere Community Regional Park
π Los Angeles, CA
Belvedere Community Regional Park features an inclusive playground with adaptive equipment, outdoor swimming pools, baseball fields, a skate park, and picnic areas with grills. Regular sheriff patrols keep the environment secure.
I was super excited to visit and realize the park was updated and the community got a new playground. I grew up in East LA so I can recall the playground of my youth. From the big metal slide at the far corner of the park to long set of swing sets only belvedere park had to offer. I'm super proud of this community and the steps it is taking to focus in its youth. The new playground not only looks amazing but it has introduced inclusion. It has adaptive equipment for those of our kids with special needs. I have two children on the spectrum, one severe and the other not, and it was heartfelt to see that finally my eldest can enjoy a playground and not have to be a bystander. It also has a swimming pool, basket ball courts, a tennis court, soccer fields and baseball fields. Picnic areas are also available.
π Family Action Verdict
Families with children of any ability level will find purpose-built equipment here that most community parks lack. The inclusive playground is the standout feature. Weekday daytime visits offer significantly lighter crowds across all facilities. Families who want swimming should confirm pool hours before the trip.

βI come to this park about 3 time a week. Glad I live close by because this park is great. Itβs big and if you come during the day on weekdays thereβs hardly anyone so you can work out or walk your dog.β

βMy son attended a Brazilian jujitsu class at Belvedere Park. It has been awesome seeing the kids receive top notch training taught by The East Los Angeles Jujitsu.β
