π San Antonio International Airport Vicinity, TX
Blue Playground at Phil Hardberger Park features blue rubberized ground cover, swings, slides, tall staircases, climbers, and a nature play area.
We love this playground, the natural playground is so fun, plus the soft ground on the playground area is great! Great space for littles.
π Family Action Verdict
Strong pick for mixed-age groups β the tall slide challenges older kids and the rubberized surface and lower climbers work for toddlers. The nature play area adds unstructured outdoor time. Families who want a full half-day outdoors can extend into Hardberger Park's trail system from the same parking lot.

βThis playground has a lot of features we havenβt seen around town. My kiddo likes the very tall staircase up to a slide. I like the no-mess flooring they installed and the shaded areas. There are many things for kids to try out for various age groups.β

Overview
Blue Playground earns its name from the distinctive blue rubberized surface underfoot β stroller-friendly, soft on falls, and visually striking. Equipment spans multiple age groups: a very tall staircase-to-slide combo challenges older kids, swings and lower climbers suit younger ones. A separate nature play area sits adjacent. Full restrooms with changing tables are available at the Urban Ecology Center nearby. The broader Hardberger Park adds 8 miles of trails, dog parks, and open fields.
