1 / 2Brooklyn Games & Arcade
📍 Brooklyn, NY
Community gaming venue specialising in retro consoles and competitive fighting games, with daily casual matches, regular ranking tournaments, and live streams on Twitch and YouTube. Strong welcoming community for all skill levels.
I came by this Saturday to the place it look really cool, I wanted to experience the same thing I experienced in part on the small arcade places in Mexico when I was a small kid. I need to say this is the best place retro gaming store that I have ever came across. The place is clean and the ambience is awesome, you came across many amazing player that show dedication to the game, the community of players on Fighting games is amazing. The prices are great! The whole day is $16 dollars. Monday - Wednesday (If I remember) for one hour is $6 dollars. The people there are always cautious of the machines, and the video game consoles. The variety is another whole different level, I saw PlayStation 5, PlayStation 1, Xbox 360, PC, Dreamcast, NES, GameCube, and more. If you are a fan of gaming, or you want to spend your afternoon somewhere cool, this is the spot, I definitely coming back. 🙏
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for gaming-enthusiast families with older kids and teens who love retro consoles and fighting games. The welcoming atmosphere suits newcomers of any skill level. Families seeking a polished family entertainment centre or a strong trading card selection will find it a poor match — this is a community gaming hub first.

“I can't say how amazing this place really is. If you're a fan of fighting games and just games in general man. Always hosting tournaments and you can host events there as well. Steve is the owner and he's just the nicest dude. Do yourself a favor and if you're in the area then obviously stop by to say what's up and play some games.”

“Always a great time! Everyone here is kind and welcoming, but you can also find fierce competition for fighting games. The prices on all video games are very reasonable and the shop really cares.m!”

“A true gem. Not crazy crowded, super friendly staff and community members. Killer selection of consoles and mods. Reasonably priced singles (Pokémon, MtG) and packs.”

Overview
Brooklyn Games & Arcade is a grassroots gaming space built around retro consoles and the competitive fighting game scene — particularly King of Fighters. The shop runs daily casual matches, regular ranking tournaments, and streams events on Twitch and YouTube. Singles and packs for Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering are stocked, and the card selection is sparse. Owner Steve runs a tight-knit, welcoming community space.
