1 / 3Buddy Carruth Playground for All Children
π Houston Museum District, TX
Recently renovated playground featuring a covered splash pad and water play area, ideal for toddlers and young children during hot Houston weather.
Just reopened after a 52 million dollar renovation. Park is wonderful! Staff is friendly and professional. Sean, working the gate, was quick to stop a guest from smoking a cigar at the childrens splash area. He was kind and pleasant to talk with. The splash pad is the coolest thing I've ever seen, and the kids even said it beast typhoon texas. I expect this to be packed this summer as word gets out. This is an amazing area for Memorial Hermman Park to provide to the residents of Houston. I'm excited to come back again next week!
π Family Action Verdict
Perfect for families with young children who love water play, especially during hot Houston weather thanks to excellent shade coverage. The recent $52 million renovation has created an outstanding facility, but visit early or during cooler months to avoid crowds and scorching metal equipment. Best suited for toddlers to elementary age kids who can spend hours in the splash pad.

βThis park was a 10/10! π Itβs covered, so thereβs plenty of shade, which I loved! As you walk around, thereβs a whole water park area β my son had the best time! π¦ Thereβs sand, water play, and tons of fun things for kids to do. The only tricky part is finding it since itβs down a long trail, but itβs totally worth it. Such an amazing walk and experience! I canβt wait to take my son back. Plus, itβs right by the Childrenβs Museum and more fun spots nearby! ποΈπ My son is 1 and he loved it !β

βNice new playgrounds. They are all gated so safe for kids. The slides and climbing area could be too hot for the summer (already hot now in Feb), but the water play area is shaded and amazing!! Our kid played there for hours. :)β

βItβs well put together consisting of a lot of structures, covered tables, food and deserts for sale, a small lake, carousel, water park and just open grassy areas to relax. The water park was the highlight of our visit and it seemed to be everyone elseβs as well, because it was packed! There were hot dogs, ice cream, snow cones and fruit for sale around the park. There were ppl grilling and having birthday parties as well as lounging on the grass. Def recommend visiting as itβs hours of fun for the kids and adults alike. There is a section for restrooms by the water park area that make it convenient to change wet clothes etcβ¦ Parking is a bit sporadic, as itβs a tiny parking lot on one side in front the park and a space or two opens up as ppl leave.β
