Very nice gym. Nice and clean. Staff was really polite. Very easy to find and (it appears; I’m from out of town) parking is easy to find. Note that this is a ropes-only gym. They do have auto-belays though, which is nice and unusual. Only downsides are that this place is really small. I think maybe 50 routes. And except for one area the walls are very short, maybe 30 feet high at most??? The grades looked slightly soft for all but the higher 11s and 12s. But if you want a simple easy place up to, definitely come here!!!

Best for families with children ages 6 and up trying climbing for the first time — auto-belays remove the barrier of needing a trained adult belayer. Birthday parties for elementary-age children are a strong suit. Experienced boulderers should note there is no bouldering area at this location.

“We had such a fun birthday party at Central Rock Arsenal Yards. Kailan and Myka went above and beyond to make it special. The gym is beautiful, clean, and had plenty of climbs our group of 7 year olds could do. Highly recommend!!”
